We are so excited to be launching a new blog here on our “new and improved” website. The goal of this blog is to give helpful advice and discuss common questions and concerns that parents may have. Although this blog must be kept to general information, if you have a question, concern, or even something that you wished you would have known when your child was a certain age, send your ideas for great blog subjects to us through our “Contact Us” tab above, or send us your ideas through Facebook or Twitter! The goal of this blog is to cover the entire range of ages that we see here in the office: newborn through 18 years old. So, no matter the age or stage that your child may be in, we would love to hear your ideas of what you would like to see discussed!
Our blog will be written from a professional stand-point, but we also value the importance of “personal experience”. Beyond having over 20 years of experience as a pediatrician, Dr. Solari, along with his wife, have raised two children of their own. Fonda Harrell, our new Nurse Practitioner who joined our office at the end of 2012 also has years of experience with children, being a nurse on the pediatric floor of Raleigh General Hospital for nine years, as well as having her own personal experience being the mother of 2 children, a boy and a girl. This means that they are able to empathize with you. They, too, have had long nights where they cared for their sick children. They, too, have wished there was a cure for the common cold because they understand how a heart can hurt for one’s own children. They also grasp the miracle of life and understand that children truly are a gift from God and the opportunity to raise a child is an amazing one, and one that should not be taken lightly!
They are not the only ones! All of our staff is parents to children of all different ages. Our hearts go out to parents when they call in to ask for medical advice for their child and we all work as a team to do all that we can to ensure the child is well taken care of and gets the care they need. We also love to have our patients come in and tell us exciting things going on in their lives, or accomplishments they have made!
All in all, along with professionalism and extensive medical training, and a dose of understanding, I know I speak for all of us when we say that we count it a privilege to be your children’s primary care providers! Learn more about the staff by visiting the “About Us” tab at the top of this page. For answers to common questions, stay tuned to our blog as we will be updating as much as possible! Glad to have you join us!
