Telemedicine For Parents

Telemedicine Visits are currently not available at our office.  We hope to have these back in the near future.

Instructions to Register and Start a Telemedicine Visit

Telemedicine is the practice of providing clinical care, including diagnosis and treatment, to patients using telecommunications technology when the patient and the physician are not in the same location. Basically, it means conducting visits using audio and video over the internet or telephone, rather than meeting in person.

What this means is that, we will schedule your child for a video and/or phone visit. You will need to navigate to a web page that has been designed for this purpose on your smartphone, tablet or computer that has high-speed internet access, a camera and a microphone. We will also connect to that web page from our office, and we will be able see and talk to each other. You can be anywhere that is private and has a good internet connection.

Many patients love this new option to have a remote visit. If you choose this type of visit, you will not have to take as much time away from work, waste time in traffic, make other childcare arrangements, or have your child miss as much school.

Not all visits can be effectively conducted remotely. We will only schedule visits via telemedicine when the nature of your health concerns lends itself to this type of visit. If during the course of a Telemedicine visit, something arises that could not be adequately cared for via Telemedicine, then the Telemedicine visit may be terminated and an in-person visit would be scheduled to ensure that the best and most appropriate care is given.

Please be assured, that our Telemedicine platform is completely HIPAA compliant to protect your privacy and confidentiality during the secure communication between you and our office.

In many cases, insurers will pay for Telemedicine visits. Our office will attempt to verify insurance coverage prior to your visit. Some insurances may require copays, co-insurance, or deductibles be applied to the visit. These payments will be due at the time of service and will be paid online prior to the visit.

Just think…..your child’s next pediatric visit could take place from the convenience of your own home via Telemedicine!

And unlike other Telehealth services which may connect you to an unknown doctor, by using our Telemedicine services, you will ALWAYS be connected with your child’s medical home…..our office and Dr. Solari!
